Zagreb Stock Exchange higher than Actavis's offerZAGREB, March 31 (Hina) - The shares of Croatia's pharmaceuticalcompany Pliva reached the price of 578,01 kuna per share before theZagreb Stock Exchange closed on Friday. Earlier in the
day, the pricesoared to 589 kuna, the highest price of Pliva's shares since 2002,which also exceeded the offer of the Icelandic company Actavis of 570kuna per share.
ZAGREB, March 31 (Hina) - The shares of Croatia's pharmaceutical
company Pliva reached the price of 578,01 kuna per share before the Zagreb
Stock Exchange closed on Friday. Earlier in the day, the price soared to 589
kuna, the highest price of Pliva's shares since 2002, which also exceeded the
offer of the Icelandic company Actavis of 570 kuna per share. The
Zagreb Stock Exchange reported that during the day Pliva's shares registered
the biggest individual turnover of more than 14.76 million kuna.
The price rose by 4.14 percent to 578.01 kuna before the stock exchange
closed.
Commenting on these results, Pliva's management reiterated that it did
not consider Actavis's takeover bid the best option for the further development
of the company.
