Dodik said the entity government would formally accept the resignation at the next session.
The entity's Interior Ministry said on its web page that Andan had sent a request to the premier and the interior minister to be relieved of his duties.
Bosnian media recently said that UN war crimes prosecutor Carla del Ponte had sent a letter to the international community's High Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, requesting Andan's resignation over non-cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
