SARAJEVO, March 31 (Hina) - The Bosnian Parliament's Commission on
the Constitution and Legal Affairs on Friday discussed draft constitutional
changes adopted by the country's three-man presidency last week, and sent the
document to parliament and the public for further debate. After a
session in Sarajevo today, the Commission called on all interested parties and
the public to join in a discussion on draft constitutional amendments.
After that, the 42-seat House of Representatives should hold a formal
discussion on the matter at a session most likely to take place on 24 April.
The adoption of the amendments requires the votes of two-thirds of MPs
attending the session.
The amendments must enter into force no later than 4 May so that they
can be applied after the general elections scheduled for October.
