The talks focused on the strengthening of economic cooperation and the situation in the region, with emphasis on Serbia and Montenegro.
Seks told Croatian reporters covering his visit that the Croatian delegation had informed Glos about the macroeconomic goals of Croatia's economic policy and the guidelines of its economic policy towards Germany.
He recalled that Germany was Croatia's second most important partner in terms of trade and investments and that German investments in Croatia from 2003 to 2005 amounted to some two billion euros.
Seks said that Croatia was particularly interested in the so-called greenfield investments because all other investments referred to the banking and telecommunications sectors.
He added that his German hosts welcomed his proposal to organise an event promoting Croatia's economy in Berlin this autumn.
Croatia's Ambassador to Germany, Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec, said that this proposal was aimed at establishing the first Croatian-German forum for the promotion of economic cooperation.
The Sabor Speaker said that the German officials also supported Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's initiative for a free trade zone in Southeast Europe be established within the framework of the Central European Free Trade Agreement and to include Moldova and Ukraine.
Seks and his hosts also discussed relations in Serbia and Montenegro in light of the forthcoming referendum on Montenegro's independence, the status of Kosovo, and changes to the Dayton peace agreement in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Croatian delegation said that the death of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic was not expected to have any major impact on the situation in Serbia or Serbia's relations with Croatia.
