"The fact that Croatia's proposal about CEFTA (enlargement) as an acceptable and efficient multilateral foreign trade mechanism was accepted at the EU foreign ministers' meeting in Salzburg is definitely proof that Croatia has found its niche in the European policy and that its proposals are treated on an equal footing in the European Union," the Sabor chief said during his lecture on Monday evening.
"We consider our proposal and the fact that it was accepted a significant success. The European perspective of all countries in the region as well as the assessment of individual merits of each country have been confirmed," Seks said.
Seks, who arrived in Germany at the invitation of the Bundestag Speaker Norbert Lammert, also spoke about other topical issues from the areas of home and foreign affairs.
On Tuesday, he will hold talks with his host Lammert.
Before meeting with the German parliament's chief, Seks and other members of Croatia's parliamentary delegation will visit the Jewish Museum in Berlin.
