Inspectors find 23 foreigners employed in INA contrary to alien act

ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - Croatia's state inspectorate has established that since the start of this year, a total of 61 foreigners have been employed in the INA oil company, with 23 employed contrary to the law on aliens, which is why INA has been fined HRK 1.8 million, the inspectorate reported on Wednesday.

Of the 23 foreigners whose employment was in contravention with Croatian legislation, three were in the INA management board and five in the supervisory board, the inspectorate said.

The employer failed to make available their working permits to the inspectorate for their employment from 1 January 2010 to the beginning of the inspection.
