The Talent, which is an integral part of the tramway systems of Vienna and Salzburg, was put on display at the Zagreb Railway Station.
With this model Bombardier could bid for a contract to build trains for the Zagreb Railway Station, the company's sales manager, Stephen Krantz, said.
More than 4,000 Talent trains are driven in Austria, Germany, Norway and Canada, and Bombardier is also interested in the Croatian market and other markets in the region, Krantz said.
After he viewed the train, Zagreb mayor Milan Bandic said that companies assembling trains from parts produced in Croatia would have a better chance of winning the contract.
The City of Zagreb and Croatian Railways late last year signed an agreement to jointly finance the purchase of 18 trains with electric engines for city and commuter transport, an investment amounting to around 60 million euros.
The first trains are expected to be delivered in two to three years.
Bombardier is one of the world's leading providers of equipment, systems and services for railway passenger transport.
The company employs around 20,000 workers in Europe and has a network of plants and engineering offices in 16 countries.
The Talent train was put on display in Zagreb during an international conference on investments in railways in Southeast Europe at which Bombardier is one of the sponsors.
