The meeting, which was attended by members of the two countries' business communities, focused on the current situation in Croatia, development prospects and integration with the EU. Present at the meeting were the vice-president of the Austrian Chamber of the Economy, Richard Schenz, Croatia's Assistant Economy Minister Slobodan Mikac, economist Mladen Vedris, and others.
Speaking about relations with Croatia, Schenz said that Croatia enjoyed Austria's full support on the road to the EU.
Austria is the biggest investor in Croatia, with companies from Austria having invested 3.1 million euros in the country, Schenz said, adidng that Austrian business people were still very much interested in continuing investments.
Croatian Assistant Economy Minister Slobodan Mikac said that Croatia needed not only investments in the financial sector, banks and financial and insurance companies, but also greenfield and joint venture investments and cooperation on third markets.
More than 500 Austrian business people attended the event.
