ZAGREB, Feb 18 (Hina) - About 30 representatives of Burgenland Croatsand other Croats in Austria, Croatian Ambassador in Austria ZoranJasic, and a Croatian Foreign Ministry official, Slavko Leban, onSaturday held a meeting in Vienna
to discuss cooperation and supportwhich Croatia can offer to Croats living outside the country.
ZAGREB, Feb 18 (Hina) - About 30 representatives of Burgenland
Croats and other Croats in Austria, Croatian Ambassador in Austria Zoran Jasic,
and a Croatian Foreign Ministry official, Slavko Leban, on Saturday held a
meeting in Vienna to discuss cooperation and support which Croatia can offer to
Croats living outside the country. Croatia supports activities and
work of associations of Croats living outside the homeland, notably concrete
projects such as the learning of mother tongue, Leban said on that occasion.
He praised Burgenland Croats for having managed to preserve their
language and culture for 500 years on Austrian soil.
On Saturday evening, the Austrian-Croatian association for promotion of
culture and sport will organised the 15th traditional annual Croatian ball in
Vienna.
