The local police reported that the device was activated in front of Jurilj's house at 0320 hours. An investigation is under way.
Jurilj recently participated in ouster of the ruling coalition in the canton. Thus in August, the HDZ BiH (Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina) replaced the coalition of the HSP BiH, HDZ 1990 and the party led by local Lijanovic family, who run meat-producing factories.
Jurilj was quoted by the local media as saying that this was a politically-motivated attack.
