Addressing the parliament this morning, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor proposed the recalling of the bill from fast-track procedure.
In its previous motion, the government proposed the fast-track procedure so that the bill could be passed soon and go into force on 1 October.
Opposition parties and unions were against fast-tracking the Pension Insurance Act amendments, as, they said, there were no legal grounds for it nor an opinion of the Economic and Social Council, and it was sent to parliament without a previous public discussion.
