Vukasovic, just like the principal suspect Drago Macek who was questioned on Monday, denied all the charges.
The judge today turned down a motion by the prosecution that further proceedings be declared secret.
Macek, Vukasovic and Ante Luetic are charged with abuse of office and in concluding detrimental contracts for this state-run shipyard while making business deals with the German Wesels company. The three are charged with having embezzled 4.7 million US dollars and laundered this amount through bank accounts they opened in Austria in the names of several persons.
Macek is a broker for business contracts in the shipbuilding industry, while Vukasovic and Luetic were the chairman and member respectively of the state-run shipyard in Split until late February this year, when they were relieved of duties over the scandal.
