In a statement issued on Saturday, the Serbian Orthodox Church said that a peaceful future could not be built on the law of the jungle, but on the principle of dignity and equal chances for all.
The Church said that under the existing international law, Kosovo, "inhabited by Serbs for more than a thousand years", was an inalienable part of Serbian territory, as evidenced by international legal documents, as well as that the Pec patriarchate in Kosovo was "the first and main seat of the Serbian Orthodox Church".
