Glavas holds both Croatian and Bosnian citizenship and is now out of reach of the Croatian police that should place him in custody before a final verdict.
During his meeting with students of the Sarajevo-based Faculty of Political Sciences, Inzko confirmed that the problem of the abuse of dual citizenship had been on the agenda of his recent talks with Croatia's top officials in Zagreb.
"Some solutions are already being planned," Inzko said recalling that European countries had already solved such problems and that their experience could be helpful.
Inzko said that, for instance, the Austrian police can enter Germany while trying to arrest convicted persons on the run from the Austrian judiciary, and also the German police can turn such people in to their colleagues in Austria.
Bilateral agreements on the handover of such people would be a step forward in meeting European standards, this Austrian diplomat said.
