MUNICH, May 8 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic on
Friday held talks with the Bavarian Minister for Federal and European Affairs,
Emillia Mueller, on Croatia's European Union membership bid and Croatia's
insistence to be treated equally as all previous EU membership aspirants. Bebic reiterated that Slovenia, which was now obstructing Croatia's EU
accession negotiations over their border dispute, was allowed to enter the
European bloc although its border with Croatia had not been defined at the
time.
With his talks with Mueller, Bebic wrapped up his two-day official
visit to Munich. On Thursday he held talks with his Bavarian counterpart
Barbara Stamm.
Croatian President Stjepan Mesic is to visit Bavaria soon, and the
Minister-President of Bavaria, Horst Seehofer, is expected in Zagreb in the
near future.
