ZAGREB, Nov 30
(Hina) - Croatian citizens are set to go to the polls
on Sunday for the first people's referendum to decide on the
constitutional definition of marriage which has led to fierce debates
over the past few months. A civil initiative group, "In the Name of
the Family," claims that it wishes to protect marriage as a union
between a woman and a man while representatives of a campaign "Vote
against" believe that the aim of the referendum is to discriminate
against marginalised groups in society.
