ZAGREB, Dec 5 (Hina) - Unions of the Croatian Post and Telecommunications (HPT) and the Croatian Oil Industry (INA) will on Wednesday stage a rally in front of the parliament building in protest at a government's conclusion under
which salaries in public companies should be reduced to last year's level. Union commissioners will start the rally at 8.30 by distributing leaflets demanding that the government withdraw the controversial conclusion because it violates the collective agreements in Croatian Posts (HP), Croatian telekom (HT), INA and other public companies. The Union of HPT Workers has also announced that it will join a strike of warning of civil servants on December 8 by organising strikes between 11am and noon in all post and telecommunication centres. Also, the union said it would organise a referendum between December 8 and 12 on a general strike of HP and HT workers.(hina) rml
