ZAGREB, Dec 1 (Hina) - A coordinating body of trade unions in the health and health insurance sector said on Friday 22,300 of 46,000 members opted for union protests, strikes included, at a recent referendum. Members of the two unions
will therefore take part in a day-long strike of warning announced by unions of employees in public and state services for Dec. 8. The strike has been announced due to discontent with the government's refusal to raise basic salaries by 8.5 percent and pay out a 1,000 kuna Christmas and a 400 kuna child's bonus. The Trade Union of Croatian Teachers today also said that 14,400 of its 25,000 members opted for protests. They will also participate in the Dec. 8 strike.(hina) ha
