European raw cotton markets quiet, unmotivated LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, Dec 17 (Reuter) - An apathetic New York futures market and the absence of fundamental news allowed the pre-Christmas go-slow to continue on Europe's raw cotton markets. The only significant influence on price movements was the relative scarcity of upland cottons, particularly from Central Asia, which has kept demand for these types alive, industry sources said.
