That U.S. move led to easier asking rates for U.S. descriptions in Europe, and consequently exerted downward pressure on price ideas for other regions. Buying interest was noted for West African and Mediterranean styles. Some fresh attention was also directed towards Central Asian descriptions, particularly of Uzbekistan origin, stacks of which have recently begun to accumulate at the major exit ports. 081111 MET dec 97
