Soft oils showed no sign of a rally despite higher Chicago soy oil futures in early trade. "People are not keen to sell the market down, but on the other hand they don't seem to want to follow the higher opening in Chicago," said one trader. In the palm oil market news that Egypt had bought at its tender gave the market some support, but traders said the prices paid were not good for the market. European traders reported at first that Egypt had bought 20,000 tonnes of palm oil, but later Egypt's official Holding Company for Food Industries said it had bought a total of 25,000 tonnes of palm oil.
