ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - The President of the Republic of Croatia, Dr.
Franjo Tudjman, received Friday evening the Chairman of the Pan-European
Union and a member of the European Parliament, Otto von Habsburg, stated
the Presidential Office last night.
The Croatian President informed his guests of the peace initiative he had
recently undertaken in order a solution to the crisis on the area of the
former Yugoslavia could be found as soon as possible and that a lasting
peace might be established as well. President Tudjman also informed of
encouraging results of the Croatian Government's programme on stabilization
in Croatia.
Mr. Otto von Habsburg said that he would continue with his support to the
legitimate requests of Croatia that the constitutional and legal order of
the Republic of Croatia be established on its entire territory. He warned
that certain parts of the European media were trying to make even more
difficult the current situation in Croatia, since some international
factors were not in favour of the development of Croatia as an independent
state.
