ZAGREB, Nov 11 (Hina) - The Committee for Normalization of Croatian-Serbian
Relations upheld the Croatian President's peace initiative at a meeting on
Thursday. The Committee also supported Croatian views of the peaceful
reintegration of the UN Protected Areas, presented by the head of the
Croatian delegation at negotiations with the Serbs in the UNPAs, Slavko
Degoricija.
The Committee concluded that Serbs living in the free parts of Croatia
must in larger measure participate in negotiations with representatives of
the illegal authorities in the UNPAs. it was agreed that the population in
the UNPAs should be acquainted with the Croatian proposal of the peaceful
reintegration.
Head of the Committee Josip Manolic drew attention to the fact the Serb
delegation at negotiations was composed mainly of militants.
