UN AND UNHCR BIHAC-BOUND CONVOYS PASS CHECK-POINT OF MOSCENICA

ZAGREB, Dec 8 (Hina) - UNPROFOR convoy carrying fuel and food for the Bangladeshi peacekeepers stationed in Bihac, arrived on Thursday in the Bihac pocket, UNPROFOR spokeswoman in Zagreb, Claire Grimes, said. The convoy reached Bosanska Bojna (about two kilometers south of the Bosnian-Croatian border) which meant that was already inside the Bihac pocket, she said. A ten-truck Bihac-bound UNHCR convoy reached Glina (UNPA North) this afternoon, UNHCR spokeswoman Alemka Lisinski said. The convoy left Zagreb at 7 a.m. but was detained at Moscenica by local Serbs, she said. For security reasons, the convoy is to spend the night in Glina and proceed to Cazin in the morning. The convoy would be unloaded in Cazin and the goods stored on UNHCR premises, from where they would be distributed to end users in the Bihac pocket, she said.
