ZAGREB/LJUBLJANA, Oct 4, (Hina) - Croatia's Foreign Affairs
Ministry has demanded a clear explanation from the Slovenian
ambassador in Croatia, Matija Malesic, on a Slovene Parliament move
which treats four Croatian as part of Slovenia.
The Slovene Parliament on Tuesday voted on a law which treats
the Mlini, Buzin, Skodelini and Skrilje villages as part of Piran
region in Slovenia, despite the villages being south of the
Dragonje river, part of the Slovene and Croatian border.
At a press conference today in Ljubljana, Slovenia's foreign
minister Lojze Peterle evaded questions on the law saying it was a
decision by Parliament.
Peterle said that his ministry had received Croatia's request
to explain the law, adding that an answer would be given through
diplomatic channels.
