CROATIA'S REBEL SERB AUTHORITIES OPEN FACULTIES IN VUKOVAR

ZAGREB, Aug 5 (Hina) - The opening by rebel Serb authorities of Law and Economics faculties in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar was a direct meddling in Croatian internal affairs and made a mockery of the international community's recognition of UNPAs as Croatian territory, the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Education said today. The Economics and Law Faculties of Nikola Tesla University in Knin decided to open departments in Vukovar and admit 80 students to the Economics Faculty and 60 to the Law Faculty, according to Belgrade press reports. The faculties would work in accordance with Serbian curricula and would be taught by Belgrade university professors. The Ministry said primary and secondary schools in the Serb- occupied territories of Croatia had long ago brought their curricula in line with those in Serbia. It was unrefutable proof of Serbia's territorial ambitions and involvement in the war against Croatia. The Serb authorities in the UNPAs have already opened faculties in Knin (UNPA South), Beli Manastir (UNPA East) and Petrinja (UNPA North). (hina) sd vm 051610 MET aug 94
