PRESENCE OF CROATIAN JOURNALISTS AT PLITVICE CONDITION FOR TALKS

ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - It is not yet certain whether talks between Croatian government and rebel Serb representatives will take place tomorrow at Plitvice, because the Serbian side will not allow the presence of Croatian journalists at the talks, said the head of the Croatian commission on relations with UNPROFOR, Hrvoje Sarinic. "As the head of the Croatian delegation, I insist that our journalists be present at Plitvice or we won't go to the talks," Sarinic told a joint session of the parliamentary national security and human rights committees on Wednesday. The joint session was called to consider the dramatic water shortage in the Biograd area (central Adriatic coast). Serb forces stationed in the UNPA South cut the water supplies from the Kakma source (5 km N. of Biograd) upon occupation. They mined the source earlier this month. The matter was on the agenda of tomorrow's talks in Plitvice (100 km S. of Zagreb, UNPA North). 151318 MET jun 94
