PARIS, May 20 (Hina) - Twenty-five boys and girls from Croatia
participated in the Children's Summit in Paris' Disneyland,
organised by UNESCO this week.
An exhibition of their drawings, mostly dealing with the war
these children had experienced at close quarters, attracted great
media attention.
At the end of the summit, the participants presented the
UNESCO secretary-general, Federico Mayor, with a Charter on
Environment.
The ceremony was attended by Croatian Ambassador to UNESCO,
Vesna Girardi-Jurkic, who presented the book "A Heart in the
Middle of the World," containing 154 drawings of Croatian refugee
children, to Mayor's deputy, Colin Powell.
