SARAJEVO, May 19 (Hina) - Seventy-three people were killed and 227
were wounded in the first two weeks of May, Bosnian medical
authorities said today.
The figures include three killed and 41 wounded children. Only
in Sarajevo, the death toll totalled 31 in the same period.
Twelve people, including three doctors, were killed in a Serb
attack on a Bosnian army medical helicopter over Zepa (one of the
three UN-proclaimed 'safe havens' in eastern Bosnia) in early May.
Eleven people were wounded in the same attack.
The humanitarian situation in most of Bosnia-Herzegovina was
extremely difficult, the medical authorities said, warning about
the dire consequences of the blockade of the Bihac area.
