BRATISLAVA, May 5 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
today ended a two-day visit to Slovakia.
Minister Granic met Prime Minister Vladimir Meciar and Foreign
Minister Juraj Senk to discuss the strengthening of bilateral
relations, integration into European associations and the latest
events in Croatia.
"Slovakia fully understands Croatia's views and the reasons
that prompted the limited highway action in western Slavonia,"
Granic said, adding that Slovakia supported the peaceful
reintegration of the occupied areas.
Following talks with Prime Minister Meciar, the two foreign
ministers signed three bilateral agreements - on cultural and
scientific cooperation, on international road transport of persons
and goods and on cooperation between the two foreign ministers.
Miniser Granic also met the Speaker of the Slovakian
Parliament, Ivan Gasparevic, and was received by President Michal
Kovac.
