ZAGREB, May 17 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament House of
Representatives today continued its session after 3.30 pm but a
brisk discussion interrupted the session and representatives took
part in the meetings of parties' benches.
The discussion was triggered off by a proposal of several
opposition representatives to postpone the discussion on amendments
on the Labour Bill until all representatives get acquainted with
the amendments.
Representatives of the ruling party opposed the proposal,
saying such a delay was not necessary after the Government and
labour unions agreed on most disputable regulations of the Bill.
Opposition representatives then asked for a break so that
representatives could participate in the meetings of their clubs.
136 amendments were added to the final version of the Labour
Bill.
The session would continue at 6 pm.
