BONN, May 16 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman paid a one-
day visit to Bonn on Tuesday, invited by German Chancellor Helmut
Kohl.
German Chancellor Kohl and Croatian President Tudjman talked
about the situation in Croatia following the action in western
Slavonia as well as about the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina. They
were expected to discuss Croatia's coming close to the European
Union and Germany's support to such moves.
Chancellor Kohl and President Tudjman conducted more than two-
hour-long talks behind the closed doors in a friendly atmosphere.
The talks also included a working dinner.
After the talks President Tudjman, accompanied by Croatian
Ambassador in Bonn Ivan Ilic and Croatian Ambassador to the UN in
Geneva Miomir Zuzul, went to his residence in Venausberg. In the
residence President Tudjman accepted German Foreign Minister Klaus
Kinkel for talks.
The talks between President Tudjman and Minister Kinkel are
now underway.
