KUPRES, May 6 (Hina) - Croatia's Vice Premier and Reconstruction
and Development Minister Jure Radic with other Croatia's and
Bosnian Croat high officials visited Kupres, southwestern Bosnia,
on Saturday.
The delegation of the Republic of Croatia consisted of
Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ivica Gazi, Croatian President's
economic affairs advisor Djuro Njavro and others.
Bosnian Croat high officials were led by the premier of
Herzeg-Bosnia, Jadranko Prlic.
Welcoming the distinguished guests the head of the Kupres
municipal board, Ivan Ivic, informed them of reconstruction and
plans for development of this municipality that was liberated from
Serb occupation in autumn 1994.
After the talks Minister Radic opened the transition lines for
Kupres. Afterwards he ceremonially put in function a post and
telephone station.
The first telephone call from the established office was for
Zagreb when Radic talked with Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.
Radic conveyed Kupres citizens' congratulations to President
Tudjman on liberation of western Slavonia.
On the phone President Tudjman again expressed wish that
displaced Kupres residents return to their hometown very soon.
