SARAJEVO, March 1 (Hina) - After a short period of lull, Bosnian
Serbs forces and renegade Moslem troops resumed battles against the
Bosnian Moslem-led government army in northwestern Bosnia, the UN
in Sarajevo said.
Breakaway Moslem forces attacked government positions south of
Velika Kladusa, and last night UN military observers counted 1,100
detonations in the area.
The largest number of explosions was recorded between 4 and 8
o'clock this morning but there was no word on whether there had
been a shift in the front lines.
Fighting also re-erupted between Serb forces and the
government army on the Grabez plateau. UN spokesman Gary Coward
told reporters in Sarajevo that the UN had registered about 30
detonations in the area this morning.
