ARRESTED UNHCR WORKER MIGHT BE SWAPPED FOR KIDNAPPED REPORTER

SARAJEVO, Feb 11 (Hina) - The humanitarian airlift to Sarajevo has been postponed today and tomorrow and its resumption will depend on solving the problem of arrested UNHCR worker, Svetlana Boskovic, UNHCR spokesman in Sarajevo, Kris Janowski said today. The airlift has not been postponed for security reasons but because there was no one to unload air flown cargo and because of problems with transporting the food from airport warehouses to the city. Janowski said yesterday that UNHCR feared Serbs would stop vehicles traveling between the city and airport and arrest Moslems to take out revenge on the Bosnian Army for arresting UNHCR worker, Boskovic, who is of Serb nationality. She is being detained because of suspicions that she was spying for Bosnian Serbs and indirectly abetted the kidnapping of Bosnian TV journalist, Berberovic. Serbs have already banned entry to all vehicles and UNHCR vehicles from passing through checkpoints they control around Sarajevo. Janowski said today that the UNHCR could not use the 'blue routes' to transport food to Sarajevo because they were obligated to use the main road, where there were still illegal Serb- controlled checkpoints. According to unofficial UN reports in Sarajevo it is believed that the arrested UNHCR worker is likely to be exchanged for the kidnapped TV journalist. UNPROFOR civil sector spokesman Michel Moussalli, yesterday in Pale demanded the unconditional release of the detained journalist, but Bosnian Serb leaders rejected the call. Moussalli only managed to succeed in the Serb side agreeing to humanitarian aid for Bihac the in future to leave from Zagreb and travel to Bihac via Banja Luka. (Hina) jn sd 111625 MET feb 95
