VITEZ, Feb 9 (Hina) - Bosnian Croat and Serb officials yesterday
met in Kobiljaca, about 15 km west of Sarajevo, and agreed to
exchange prisoners-of-war from the Kupres and Livno areas,
southwestern Bosnia.
The head of the Croat office for exchange of POWs, Berislav
Pusic, said that 21 Croats of Bosansko Grahovo would be exchanged
for 50 Serb civilians from the Livno area.
Pusic said Serbs still held prisoner 62 Croat soldiers and
civilians from different parts of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Croats held prisoner 32 Serb soldiers from the Kupres
and Livno areas.
The two sides also agreed to exchange those who had been
killed during fighting in the Kupres and Livno areas. The Serbs
were to hand over three bodies and Croats 65.
The overall exchange was expected to be completed by
February 18, most probably at Zemunik near the Croatian coastal
town of Zadar.
The next meeting was scheduled for February 14 to work out
details of this major exchange, Pusic said.
