SARAJEVO, Feb 9 (Hina) - Bosnian TV journalist Namik Berberovic who
had been kidnapped from an UN armoured vehicle two weeks ago will
probably be exchanged for three Serb prisoners.
The UNPROFOR in Sarajevo confirmed that the Serbs delivered a
list of three people who should be released and exchanged for
Berberovic.
The UN special envoy, Yasushi Akashi, had personally asked
Bosnian Serb leader, Radovan Karadzic, to free the kidnapped
civilian, but his demand fell on deaf ears.
The Serbs considered Berberovic as a prisoner-of-war and
accused him of possessing "propaganda materials" and being a member
of the Bosnian Moslem-led government Army.
The Bosnian government has so far avoided to get involved in
the Berbrovic case.
