SARAJEVO, Jan 29 (Hina) - A ceasefire in Bosnia-Herzegovina had
been generally holding for the last 24-hour, UN military observes
said today.
UN Protection Force sources reported three detonations which
had occurred last night in Sarajevo. The detonations were probably
caused by firing shells from shoulder rocket launchers, but it was
not known who was responsible for the incident, UN Spokesman in
Sarajevo Alexander Ivanko today told a press conference.
UN observers yesterday counted around 250 detonations in the
Velika Kladusa area, western Bosnia.
UN peacekeepers in Bihac recorded only one explosion last
night.
Bosnian TV journalist Namik Berberovic, kidnapped two days ago
by Bosnian Serbs, was still detained, Ivanko said adding that it
was uncertain when Serbs would release him.
