NUMBER OF CEASE-FIRE BREACHES SAME AFTER CROATIA'S TELLING UN OFF

ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - Croatia's decision to end the UNPROFOR mandate has not led to a significant increase in cease-fire violations, the UN in Zagreb said today. "There is no correlation between the date of the decision (January 12) and the number of cease-fire violations in the UN Protected Areas," Col. Walt Natynczyk told reproters. UN monitors reported 157 cease-fire violations in the past 24 hours, two more than was recorded last Tuesday. Most of these violations boiled down to the presence of soldiers or weapons in the disengagement zones, he said. (hina) mm as 261513 MET jan 95
