UNPROFOR ON THE CEASE-FIRE IN BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA

SARAJEVO, Jan 2 (Hina) - UN military observers have recorded 27 cease-fire violations in the last 24 hours, despite an agreement signed Saturday between Bosnian Serbs and Moslems. Sarajevo UNPROFOR headquarters said today most of the violations involved sporadic light arms fire, except around Velika Kladusa, west Bosnia, where occasional mortar projectile detonations were heard. UN spokesman in Sarajevo Aleksandar Ivanko, confirmed that Bosnian Army representatives and Serbs at a meeting yesterday agreed to agree by the end of the month on exact separation lines on the ground. It was expected that today and tomorrow groups of representatives would be formed to assist the implementation of the agreement on ending hostilities in Bosnia-Herzegovina. UNPROFOR spokesman Gary Coward announced that General Rose was to meet with the president of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina Kresimir Zubak in Mostar today. They were to discuss including the HVO (Croatian Defence Council) in the cease-fire. Coward said unsigned guarantees would suffice although UNPROFOR would prefer something in writing signed by the Croatian side on ending hostilities in Bosnia-Herzegovina. According to the latest report from the HABENA agency, Rose has arrived in Mostar and was now in a meeting with Zubak. Meanwhile Bosnian Serbs were still preventing the delivery of fuel for UNPROFOR and a Bihac-bound convoy was also experiencing difficulties in getting to its destination, UNPROFOR said.
