VIENNA, Jan 13 (Hina) - A Croatian parliamentary delegation which
participated in today's work of the Organization of Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) parliamentary assembly's permanent
committee in Vienna, today informed European parliamentary members
of the reasons why Croatia had decided to end the UNPROFOR mandate.
Croatian representatives, led by Bozidar Petrac, told the
European parliamentary members about Croatia's efforts aimed at
peaceful solutions of the problems during many bilateral meetings
today in the Austrian capital.
The OSCE permanent committee on Friday adopted a resolution on
the situation in Chechnya.
The resolution expressed concern with violations of human
rights and failure to observe the Paris Charter principles as well
as the OSCE principles, and requested the immediate cease-fire.
