ZAGREB, Jan 5 (Hina) - A Bihac-bound UNHCR convoy, which left
Zagreb Wednesday morning, today reached the border town of
Maljevac where it would stay overnight, UNHCR spokesman Peter
Kessler said in Zagreb.
The ten-truck convoy was carrying 91 tonnes of food and
medical supplies to the Serb-besieged Bihac enclave in western
Bosnia.
The convoy was expected to continue its journey to Velika
Kladusa and Cazin tomorrow morning.
Kessler said talks were being held with renegade Moslem
leaders to get them to allow the convoy to pass on to Cazin.
He said the UNHCR was willing to unload two convoy trucks in
Velika Kladusa as aid to Moslem refugees returning to the town.
Kessler described the humanitarian situation in Velika
Kladusa as grave and added that the town had no water.
