ZAGREB, Nov 21 (Hina) - Britain's Ambassador to Croatia, Gavin
Wallace Hewitt, on Thursday delivered a lecture at the Diplomatic
Academy of the Croatian Foreign Ministry in Zagreb, under the title
"Back to Europe", the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Hewitt emphasized that the aim of the European Union's
regional approach was not to push Croatia into Balkan associations
but to achieve general peace and stability in the region.
Describing the approach as well-balanced, Hewitt said that the
EU would deal with each country individually in their efforts to
establish closer ties with the EU.
The British ambassador praised the Croatian Diplomatic Academy
for high standards it applied in its work.
