ZAGREB, Oct 17 (Hina) - An Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) delegation, will visit Vukovar on
Saturday, October 19, at an invitation of UN Transitional
Administrator of eastern Slavonia, Baranja and western Sirmium,
General Jacques Klein.
On Friday Croatia's deputy prime minister and deputy foreign
minister, Ivica Kostovic and Ivan Simonovic respectively, would
receive the delegation to inform them of the Croatian Government
views on the U.N. Transitional Administration in Eastern Slavonia
(UNTAES) mandate, the importance of holding elections in the area
and the immediate return of displaced peoples there, the Croatian
Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.
The delegation, headed by Swiss Ambassador Benedict von
Tscharner, will include the OSCE secretary-general Giancarlo
Aragona, OSCE mission chief in Croatia Albert Nooij and EU and the
Contact Group officials.
