The committee convened in Sarajevo on Wednesday, and the OSCE
chairman Flavio Cotti and the international High Representative
Carl Bildt took part in its session.
OSCE officials in the Bosnian capital believe that the local
elections may be held between 22nd and 24th November, although the
question about necessary conditions for holding elections is still
being under discussion.
According to Foley, general director of the OSCE election
mission Jeff Fisher withdrew from office on Tuesday.
'Fisher's contract with the OSCE mission has expired, and he
did his job very well in the past,' the OSCE spokesman said.
A Briton Patrick Bradley was appointed as a new general
director for the elections.
