ZAGREB, 11 Oct (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic on
Friday received Phillys Oakley, U.S. assistant Secretary of State

Minister Granic informed Mrs Oakley about problems in the
accommodation and return of Croatian and Bosnian displaced people
and refugees.
Croatia was currently taking care of 180,000 displaced persons
and 167,000 refugees from Bosnia-Herzegovina. Considerable assets
were being set aside for displaced persons and refugees, Granic
said, stressing the importance of reintegration of the Croatian
Danubian area for a speedy return of displaced persons.
The implementation of Bosnian municipal elections should help
solve the problem of the return of Bosnian refugees to their
country, especially to the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Croatia would actively cooperate with the governments of Bosnia-
Herzegovina and the Federation in order to solve that problem,
Granic said.
