SARAJEVO, 5 Oct (Hina) - Aide to the U.S. Secretary of State, John
Kornblum and international peace mediator in Bosnia, Carl Bildt, on
Saturday condemned the decision of Bosnian Serb representatives not
to participate in the inaugural session of the newly-elected House
of Representatives. #L#
The impression the Serb representatives left by not coming to
the session was very negative, Kornblum said. He said that he was
familiar with reasons Serb representatives had given for not
attending the session, but added that security reasons alone were
not acceptable.
'The future of people who live in the Serb entity depends on
the full implementation of the Dayton agreement', Kornblum said.
Carl Bildt also stressed that security reasons were not the
real explanation for the failure of Serb representatives to appear
at the session.
The behaviour of Serb representatives would be most
detrimental to the Serb people, Bildt said, adding that one had to
wait a couple of days and see whether Pale authorities wanted to
cooperate.
