ZAGREB, Sept 13 (Hina) - Croatia and Poland should intensify
relations at the trade, cultural and political levels, President of
the Croatian Parliament Vlatko Pavletic told reporters at Zagreb
airport on Friday, upon return from a five-day visit to Poland.
"We met with Poland's president and prime minister and a
parliamentary group in charge of relations with Croatia. We
discussed political events in Croatia and the impending elections
in Bosnia-Herzegovina," Pavletic said.
Both sides have shown an eager interest in meetings at the
ministerial level and in intensifying cooperation between the two
chambers of commerce, according to Pavletic.
"I conveyed President Tudjman's invitation to Polish President
Alexander Kwasniewski to visit Croatia, which he accepted with
enthusiasm," Pavletic said.
President Kwasniewski is expected to visit Croatia by the end
of this year or early next year.
