HGK President Nadan Vidosevic, who attended the opening,
expressed hope that the office, which is the first of that kind
abroad, would act in the interest of both countries.
Bosnia was Croatia's fourth most important partner, Vidosevic
said.
The head of the Bosnian Chambers of Commerce, Mensur
Smajlovic, said that the institution he was heading would fully
support HGK's activities in Sarajevo.
According to available data, commodity exchange between Bosnia
and Croatia in the first five months of this year was relatively
low. Bosnia's commodity export to Croatia amounted to some US $
2,800,000, while the value of Croatia's export to Bosnia amounted
to some 31 million dollars.
