SARAJEVO, 30 Sept (Hina) - Problems concerning the first meeting of
the newly-elected Bosnian Presidency have still not been solved and

Carl Bildt's office in Sarajevo, Michael McLay said Monday. #L#
McLay confirmed that over the weekend Bildt had been a
mediator during the talks between Presidency members, in particular
between Alija Izetbegovic and Momcilo Krajisnik. However, a
concrete solution had not been found by Monday morning.
Another important problem was the lack of phone connections
between the two entities, McLay added.
'We all know that only one side in Bosnia is obstructing
everything that leads to the reunification of the country', McLay
said, when asked whether the Serb side was the one opposing the
establishment of telecommunication links.
He reiterated that several different locations were being
considered as a setting of the first session, but refused to give
details on those locations.
'We want this meeting to be held as soon as possible,
especially after yesterday's confirmation of election results by
the Provisional Election Commission', McLay said, adding that the
first meeting of the Bosnian Presidency would mean that the state
and legal continuity of Bosnia-Herzegovina had been preserved, as
had been envisaged by the Dayton agreement.
Ten days after the establishment of the new Presidency, the
first session of the Bosnian House of Representatives should be
held, which would secure conditions for the appointment of the
first Bosnian Council of Ministers, McLay said.
